April – November 2020
In the past, a situation like the pandemic may have killed my painting and writing, but even after a moderate case of COVID I felt energized. What triggered that jolt of adrenaline was my daughter, Julie’s suggestion that I find a painting buddy and commit to one piece a day.
A quasi studio was set up in our dining room. The room has lots of light and a view of our woodland that our family designed over 25 years ago. I set up my old traditional watercolor table in a corner with lots of light.
Every flower in this “Painting in Place” series is from our garden. Every tree has been studied multiple times and enjoyed!
