Arena

The Arena is a circle that appears often in the work – like the circle of life. The Arena series began with my sketching, photo-graphing, sitting and walking around inside the amphitheater in Verona, Italy during the day and attending the opera or sometimes a dress rehearsal at night. Absorbing its ancient history, those jolting vibrations shook my insides and came out in this series.
